wiring my vanguard spa
« on: November 04, 2005, 07:08:17 pm »
Hello,

I'm trying to install the wiring from the GFI subpanel to
the spa connectors. I can't seem to figure out how the wires push into the Terminal Block connectors at the spa end. Am I not forcing them in hard enough? Or is there something I'm not doing right.

It's a vanguard spa from hot springs.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Mark

I ended up going to the see my salesman the next day and I asked him about the wiring problem. Both of the salesman laughed and went on to tell me that this is a very common question with at least 50 spa owners comming back this year to ask that same question... even from experienced Electrician's. He explained it to me and gave me a piece of paper that shows exactly how to insert the wires (which was very simple, once you see it shown).
After leaving there, I asked my self, "If there are that many people with the same question, than why in this world would they inconvenience people by not including that peice of paper with the instructions for wiring that connector in the Hotsprings spa's.
You would think it's just plain common sense.

Thanks for allowing me to vent...
