Swimsuit Contest
« on: October 28, 2005, 03:58:24 pm »
Here's an idea I'm kicking around for our VIP Night and want to get ya'lls feedback.

I want people to get in the spas.  We'll have 6 up and running.  Thinking about having a prize for the best swimsuit.  Would any of you hot tub owners feel comfortable wearing a swimsuit (with cover-up) to a party of mostly strangers?  Let me know quick as I'm sending out invitations Monday.  Thanks!

I wouldn't do a swimsuit contest... but I might do a party in a swimsuit.  A swimsuit contest makes me feel like I would be judged, and yeah not going for that.  Hope that makes sense.

What I meant to say is to have prizes for "Most Original" or "Ugliest Swimsuit", something along those lines.  Not a Hawaiian Tropic swimsuit contest.  A couple of my customers have said they're bringing their swimsuits and that's what got me to thinking about it.

Yeah, but you gotta realize all of us guys still think we're built like the Greek gods we never were built like in the first place.

You could get a bunch of us wannabe Greek gods... or Irish gods or whatever gods... but I'm guessing my wife would either not want to partake, and even if she just attended without getting into a tub the impression she would have afterwards was hot tubs were for old guys and goddesses. Glad we didn't do this before we bought. If you were hoping to attract purchasers I'd be inclined to think a few models to keep the men occupied while you talk dollars and "sense" to the people who control the money would be a good idea. At least in my case it works that way.

Not sure how you'd word it but you're closer with the idea that you'd like everyone to have the opportunity to try out a hot tub and there will be prizes for the tackiest or ugliest or most hideous swimwear. Sounds like a fun event.    paul

Yes sir, I'm really trying to help people get comfortable enough to get in the spa because, once they do, they're 3/4's of the way to owning one.  I'm hoping that by actually having people in the spa (shills basically), they will act as a catalyst to get others to hop in.  I do want people to have fun.  It is a fun product and I want them to enjoy shopping for them as much as possible.

Or in my case, you could have a who least  belongs in that speedo contest, I'd stand a chance there!
Maybe you should set up a booth in a nudist colony?

It'd be a waste of time.  They don't carry wallets.
