It may not win any awards but....
« on: October 21, 2005, 10:26:26 am »
Seeing the post where the new owner was looking for help determining the age of his Hot Spring prompted me to go out a take a pic of my old beater.  Please keep the laughter down to a minimum.  I got it about 7 years ago when a customer bought a new one and our service guys "hauled away" his old one.  I paid for the repair costs which were only about $300.  And yes that is TIPTOP on it.  I added that a year later when our warehouse went though a cleaning and they found it.

That's a beautiful spa my friend.  I have dozens of customers who still use their 20+ year old HS spas every day.  I've got one on the deck at my store that was built the month before I graduated high school, April 1985, and it runs like a champ!

According to a guy in Colorado Hotspring Spas don’t last that long.  I guess he is wrong.

You have a very nice spa.

I may give you guys a hard time about Hot Spring now  ( cuz I have to) But there is no disputing the "energizer bunny" performance of the "older crowd".  And the TipTop is awesome.  I never have to worry about snow or kids climbing on it.  In fact, I'm 220.... OK I used to be 220..... once...... a long time ago...at birth....and I can stand in the middle.

If you ever need some new arms for that tip top, I think I may have some of the remaining few out there. ;D

What is the TIPTOP?

A long time ago in a galaxy far far away Hot Spring used to make a 1 piece Rovel hard cover that hinged off to 1 side.  It was bulky and expensive. We used to sell them for something like $1200 extra and few people bought them.

It's funny you say that cuz a few years ago one of our service guys snagged both arm assemblies off a customers spa that they were trowing away and he gave them to me.  They are now shrink wrapped on a shelf in my garage...just in case.   ;)
thanks.
