Does anyone know if the single moto-massage (in a HS tub of course--specifically a jetsetter) can be replaced with the new double? If so, do you know the price and could someone without a lot of expertise install it?

Nope. Sorry. The pump is much bigger on the spas with the new Moto DX, and they are plumbed differently, plus they have a wider cavity in which the Motos go.

You CAN get a Hydro Pulse Plate which might do whatcha want....

Tony, it's called the HydroPulse Face Plate and should be no more than $40. You can install it in about 5 minutes without having to empty the spa.

I just ordered a Solana TX made by HS that has the Moto
I looked at a few smaller type models but felt the TX was best for us
One of the things I was indecisive about was the moto masssage

Would you recommed something different or was there something about it you don't like

Jims, congratulations on your spa choice. It is a great little spa with a surprising amount of room inside.

If I may interject, I'd like to offer a little advice which will help you enjoy the MotoMassage to the fullest. Don't let the jets run up and down your spine, scoot over a few inches either direction and let it run up and down the muscles of your back. Once I figured this out, I began to thoroughly enjoy the Moto.

Congratulations again and enjoy your new spa!

With your years of experience with hot tubs and Hot Springs
We are putting the TX off the master bedroom looking for the getaway from the kids dog phones etc
Do you have any advise for indoor use
We will keep it covered and have a waterproof mat so we won't slip and will also keep the flooring dry
We were a little concerned about the chemicals to use as well
Anything you can share woulde helpful

Since the spa is going indoors, I would say that 110V is all you will need. The spa is fully insulated and will maintain its temperature just fine.

As far as water care, I would just use dichlor. It will do the best job, is easy, and very inexpensive. If you keep your water balanced and sanitized correctly, you won't even be able to smell it. The more ventilation you can have, though, the better.

Ooohhh, that'll be nice! You need to be sure and get pictures and post them.

A lot of people have the misconception that using chlorine in the spa will produce an overwhelming odor. Their only experience comes from using the spa at the Motel 6 or local health club where water care is not really done right. The janitor throws a scoop of chlorine in at night and it can be overwhelming. When the water is maintained properly, you will not even notice it.

the TX is 110 volt, only. If you wire it for 30 amp, it is still 110 volt. The difference is that if you hardwire it, you can run the heat and jets at the same time. Since it only has a 1000 watt heater, you can run it on the 30 amp 110.

BTW, for that size of spa 1000 watts is sufficient.
