Spa Delivered, Electrical underway

Yeah, delivery of our new Grandee was yesterday and the electrician is diligently working on the wiring right now.
Two questions for the group;
1-How long will it take to get the water up to temperature after filling? (It's 65 and sunny on the east coast today)
2-How long after the chemicals are in should I wait to soak? (I know I will have trouble waiting)
By the way Terminator, no Shinner Bock in my neck of the woods so a nice single malt will have to do!
Thanks.

On average folks reported getting a tub up to soaking temp in about 8 hours or so. (2-3 degrees per hour seems to come to mind).
Your water is fresh and clean, you should be abel to jump right in, even if everything is not perfectly balanced. My dealer did advise me to make sure the chlorine level is appropriate (there are some bacteria that can live in garden hoses).

Congratulations! You're gonna enjoy it. It is starting to be nice hot tub weather. Some Macallan 18 year old ain't a bad alternative to Shiner Bock!
Spa should be hot enough to use within 4-6 hours.
When the spa is hot enough to use, hop on in.
Enjoy!

Some of the stuff that I put in my tub on fillup said to wait an hour before getting in so I added everything as soon as it was filled. It only took about 4 hours for mine to get up to the high 90s so I was soaking about 5 or 6 hours after delivery.
Just keep the cover on - quit peeking and admiring your new tub and it will heat up faster
Congratulations on the new tub!

xqqqsme,
I am jealous...our grandee is still two weeks away! Once your install is done, I would love to hear more details...time to heat, chemicals used, any problems...
let us know how it is...I am sure you will love it!

Pruned Hands - I will keep you abreast of all the spa happenings. I believe that Hot Springs is a bit behind with deliveries since mine took almost 6 weeks from order. But, they delivered it to me the day it arrived, and tonight I will be soaking away!
Thanks for all the comments everyone, it was only a short time ago I was going to buy a no name brand and I happened to stumble on this forum.
I promise to supply deck and spa pictures shortly!

Congrats!! I feel the same way about this forum. We would have bought a "no name" also had I not stumbled onto this forum.
Here's to your first soak!!

Looks good! A couple questions about your install if you don't mind....
Your deck install is similar to how I want to put mine in, by recessing it about half way. How did you 'drop' it in the 'hole' or did you build the deck around it?
It looks like you have an access panel on the deck that you can remove on the front of it correct?
Is that synthetic decking? If so what brand did you decide on?
Thanks
