spa pad

i plan on buying a hot tub soon and i don't want to have a concrete pad put in so i was hoping to get alternative suggestions. has anyone ever use the spa pads made by confer plastics? if so, what is your inpu on them. thanks

I was wondering the same thing.  Also, can you put them directly over level grass or do you have to do some sort of ground prep?

The best price I've seen on them so far is from Sam's Club, but I'm confused by the wording it says its for an 8x8, but then it says its packed 3.. is the price for 6 or for 3.  I assume its 6, but it seems a bit misleading, and its the best price I've found by about $60 so I wasn't sure.

Not sure about that specific brand, but I know of 2 installations using the EXZ-Pad, and after 4 full years in MN, they are still going strong.  But the people who installed theses put them down on a prepared base, not directly on the sod.  

Check to see that for any spa that you consider purchasing it's ok to use that type of base.  Damage to the shell due to an insufficient base won't be covered in your warranty.  
It's very important to level the base as much as possible so it fully supports the entire spa.

Some spas advertise that they can be used without a foundation,  and others may insist on the concrete base.
