HS Grandee vs Beachcomber 750
« on: October 14, 2005, 07:25:20 pm »
I'm just looking to buy a spa, and i'm realy hesitate .
I still have three spa we like, HS Grandee, Beach 750 and Artic Tundra.
The price i receive for the three spa are around 11,000 for each one of them.
I know for what we read that the three of them are good spa
and i just want to know if some one have something bad to tell about one of theese spa.
I live in Canada ( in the cold on winter)
Thank you in advance for your advice

Have you wet tested any of them?  I can speak to the merits of the Tundra but the best way to make a decision is wet test each.  There are enough differences among the three in seating and jets that I would guess a clear favorite would emerge.  Let me know if you have specific questions about the Tundra.  Good Luck in your search.

Thank you stl-rex , about the tundra, can you tell me about
the energy consuming, is this a spa that cost a lot to have the water at 102 degre in winter ( when is minus 20 outside )
and we are going to wet test all three of them tomorrow.
I hope that's gona help us to make our choice!

My suggestion would be that the cost of operation will be within a few dollars per month of each other and therefore won't be the determining factor.

All are good spas and chances are you will be very happy with any one of those. There's "horror stories" on every brand (as with Ford, Chev, etc.) so I wouldn't put too much emphasis on that.

As mentioned, the wet test will tell you a great deal as well as your personal comfort with the dealer you choose.

I own a Beachcomber 750.  I have only had it since the beginning of summer so I can't comment on the effeciency of it but I am sure it is like any other quality spa.  I had a problem with the first one I had and the dealer and Beachcomber were very helpful getting me a new tub, so I can say thier service is great.  I love the tub and my kids think it is great, but I would have loved any tub that I bought.  Good luck and ask any question and I will try and answer it as best I can.

Thank you all for your comment and we just wet test many spa today and with the wet test it's true to say that we need to wet test beacause we saw a big difference for us .
Are choice is the HS Grandee far away in front of the other.
My wife and i have big difference  she is 5 feet and i'm 6 feet but with the Grandee we were both very confortable in many seat. Again thank you and to any one who's looking to buy a spa  it's realy important and there nothing better then wet test the spa, that's make realy a big difference.

Congrats on picking out a spa the correct way - with a wet test!  You will really enjoy it once you have it and probably wonder how you got along without it once you have it.
