Till scheduled delivery anyway  ;D  You think these 48 hours will be slow?  The hours between scheduled delivery and actual delivery are even longer!!!

Sorry, just reminicing my bad delivery experience.

Thanks, socal. I think it's a great tub also. I really liked the Reward but it didn't fit my wife. Thank goodness the Epic came out before I pulled the trigger on a different spa.

Hey Bill,
Thanks for being so positive  ::)!!

While you're killing time, tell me, what made you pick this tub?  What other did you consider?  I'm just starting and looked at a Destiny--it's the first one I looked at, but I really liked it.  I'm leaning toward no lounge because I think my kids will be in it a lot too--that puts us at 6 with just the family.  How exciting to be ready and waiting for your new tub--I can't wait to be there!

It sounds like you are going to have a Christmas eve night on Friday. You have to keep us updated on Saturday. My Epic is scheduled for first stop next Wednesday. The weather is just right to get started. Good luck ;D

I have been looking for a while..probably too long...but I really think the Epic could be my tub. That or the
HS Envoy. Could you tell me what would be considered a reasonable price on the Envoy? I got one dealer at 12,000 (but the upcoming " really big sale"  :o  could change that price!) and the other dealer saying 9 ish. That's a big difference!  Thanks

Ok, I messed up. I meant to quote prices for the Epic. The price I got on an Envoy was 8700. The Epic had the 3,000. difference!

This tub fit us the best. The first Marquis we tested was the Reward. I  liked this one but it was too deep for my wife. I really Marquis' gentle massage with the HK-40 jets.
I'm not a fan of a tub that feels like  your skin is coming off while you're soaking. The look of both Marquis spas impressed me as being quality built. The deep thepary seat in the Epic hit my back in the PERFECT spot. The lounger can be a lounger or an adirondack chair depending on how you sit in it. If you lay back, it's a lounger. If you sit up straight, it's more of a chair.

We looked at HS Vanguard and Envoy, Sundance Optima, and Coleman. I liked the Envoy but it was too deep for my wife. She liked the Vanguard. I didn't like the fact that there were few leg and foot jets in this spa.I thought it was ok but something was telling me that there was a better tub out there for US. The Optima and Coleman were both nice spas but didn't ring our bell.

How big is your wife?  I'm only 5 ft myself, so I'm wondering how many of these tubs may be plain too big for me.  I looked today at a Vanguard and a Grandee at HS and a Optima at Sundance.  I sat inthem, but haven't done any wet testing yet.  From what I've seen, and I'm just starting, the Marquis were much better priced than these.  Was that your experience as well?

My wife is between 5'2" and 5'4".  I would keeping looking and wet testing. That is the only way to find a tub to fit you. While you may be shorter than my wife, we are all shaped differently.  Maybe a tub will fit you that didn't fit her.  That being said, wet test the Epic.  :D
Good luck

Congrats drprwnap!  Can't wait to see pics of your Epic.  There are so many more Marquis/Epic owners on here than when I started posting.  I'm glad to see more and more people finding out what a great product it is.

Enjoy your first soak...and many more to come!

For me, the perfect spa can do that when you need it, or give gentle circulating (quiet) water when you want it.  So in that regard, we did end up with a great spa for us, but strong pumps with dual speed capability, variable jets, and the ability to turn off air to the jets is the ideal tub. If I was buing again, those would be key points.
