Dealers, what's new for 2006?
« on: October 06, 2005, 10:44:22 pm »
A few more months and the 2006 models will be coming out.  Anything new and exciting that you can share with us?  Will Sundance bring back the auxiliary control?  Does Hotspring or Marquis have anything new to release?  How about the other manufacturers?
2005 Hot Spring Envoy still going strong. Million-Mile Club....

I want to get in the spa business so I can surf the internet and use Photoshop all day long.

If you can't sell it on eBay, it may not even qualify as landfill.

Retired (mostly) from the industry after 33 years...but still putzing around with a consumer information website, and trying to sell obsolete owners manuals

We will know better in about a month.  Hotspring did change the Solana SX this past month.  No big changes though.  I would not expect Sundance to add the extra control panel.  No inside information, just a feeling.

Sundance made some pretty significant changes to the 2005's, so it wouldn't suprize me if this year was pretty quiet.

What changes did Sundance make on the Altamar from 2004 to 2005?  I do know that they introduced a Majesta.  Thanks!

2006 will be the year of the price increase.  Hopefully your manufacturers increased adequately in '05...if not get ready.

Added waterfalls to some models (Optima for sure, not so sure about Altimar), changed their filtration from a pleated /microfilter combo to a totally disposable non pleated design.  Ditched the Sweetwater lable, and rolled it under the Sundance brand, with a different series number.

Could be more, that's all I remember off the top.

A new model for Hydropool, better fit and finish and a few other goodies are expected this coming year. I recently found out that we're NOT having a price increase in '06 which I thought was a certainty with the increase in petroleum based products.

We're also totally rebranding our company which is a MAJOR undertaking and we are now poised to increase our market share with new business strategies and a marketing program unlike anything I've ever seen. Should be an exciting year for Hydropool and I'm proud to be a part of it!

From what I understand Sundance will drop the 850 line, moving the Altimar and others to the 880 or 780 lines.

I don't think there are going to be any signifigant changes in 06 design or functionality.

In response to Luigi's question-the altamar's neck jets changed from 04. last year those jets were only adjustable thru the pressure change from the diverter valves, now you can adjust the pressure the same as all the other jets-by turning the outside escutcheon, and the led lighting became standard on the 850s

Brewman, a great thing came about from changing over sweetwater to 780 series, they have the same warranty as an 880, went from 3 years pp&e to 5 years. so regardless of spending 7G's or 12G's-you get the same warranty.

All the waterfalls were new this year-maxxus,optima,cameo,majesta(new spa to the line)

I dont think they will bring back the auxiliary control, but using the interface with the stereo remote (which is an upgrade for the stereo) you can control all of those functions (jets, blower, lights) as well as all the functions for the stereo.

otherwise, just those higher prices
