First sign of winter
« on: October 07, 2005, 08:56:23 am »
Yesterday, we had the air conditioning on as temps were around 84 most of the day.  Got up this morning to head out to the hot tub and a cold front had moved in and the temp was 49!  Its not supposed to get above 60, so the heater is on today!    But there in the southern sky was the first sign of winter.  Orion is hanging due south plain as day.

Jupiter was pretty bright right above it.

Same here, Bill.  The A/C was running Wednesday, and this morning there is frost and the funace is on.
Still, I love this time of year- excellent spa weather.
We got about 6" of rain this week, though. (MPLS/St.Paul)
Any of it make it over to your area?
