Strong Jets and small hot tub
« on: October 04, 2005, 06:04:56 pm »
I only need a small hot tub (2 or 3 person, but will consider 4 person size).  However, I am looking for the strongest possible jets.  Which brands and models would fit the bill best?

Marquis has 3 models fitting in the "small" tub catagory. hideaway, 315, and the spirit. note 315/spirit are the same shape and mold, but has more bells and whistles on the spirit.

I'd recommend Sundance, Hot Spring, Marquis, D1, Caldera. Others are big on Jacuzzi, Arctic, Coleman, etc. Visit the websites of all the major manufacturers and go to their "delear finder" where it'll tell you the nearest dealer relative to your location. Shop as many as you can, get to know the dealer a bit (how long in business, with this brand, at this location, etc.) and wet test the top 3 or 4 if possible.
220, 221, whatever it takes!

If you have an Arctic dealer close, you seriously owe it to yourself to check out the Arctic Fox.  That seat in the upper right corner has 7-5" rotating jets plus 2-3" rotating jets.  It provides a tremendous massage.  The spa as pictured has 2 - 56 frame pumps running only 24 jets.  One pump can be fully directed at that seat.  It is very powerful.  It is also very comfortable for 3, but accomodates 4 in a pinch.  It is one of Arctics most popular models, the other being the much larger Tundra that also has that same therapy seat.  The spa is 86x69

However as others have said, examine several models and if at all possible wet test to truly understand which is right for you.

LA Spas makes a small model called the Allure which can be made with either 18, 30 or 39 jets with either 1 or 2 jet pumps.

I must be smoking the good stuff again, but that tub actually looks pretty nice.  I am in Philadelphia if someone wants to whack me in the head for saying that about a Cal Spa.
