Calcium increaser
« on: September 19, 2005, 10:42:39 am »
Happy Monday everyone. (Mondays are so much easier with something to look forward to every night.(A good long soak) A question for you all. Last week when we put the first chemicals in the tub for the first time ,the dealer told me to put stain and scale remover (5 caps)once a week. The she gave me calcium hardness increaser to put in the nextday. Did both. Do I need to put the calcium stuff in every week also ? All levels are holding up very well. Keeping my fingers crossed.
Thank you.

negative. calcium is added upon an initial fill. A computer water test from your dealer will tell you how much. if you have 5way test strips you can balance it yourself.

calcium hardness, once balanced, rarely needs adjustment. you only lose calcium through splash out, evaporating water leaves the calcium behind.

Thank you hottub.pool_boy. I thought that might be the case but I just wanted to be sure.
