Posting Pictures
« on: September 01, 2005, 08:20:35 pm »
I just read a post where the poster uses www.tinypic.com to host his pictures.  I've uploaded my picture to that hosting service.

Now my question is how do I get the picture to be part of my profile here.

I see others here that have a picture under their name and that's what I'm trying to do.  I pasted the http:// on "have my own pic" but it's not showing??

Help!

I'm probably the person you are refering to who uses tiny pic.  I just copy and paste the text in the line that says IMG (the third possibility) and when I preview it, vuala my pic is there.

Thanks everyone!  I'm trying to get setup to post pictures when we start building the screened patio.

I know I can paste the url address in my text for pictures hosted elsewhere.  I just want to post a pic of hubby and me under my name like Chas and Terminator have done.

I added a post and told you how to do it, then decided I should test it out.  I didn't think it worked so I deleted my post, only to come back and see it took a second to work.

So anyway, you need to edit your profile.  A little more than 1/2 way down is a place that says I have my own pic: click the box then copy and paste the first option, the one that say Link from tiny pic.

Ok, I'll try that.  I just posted under "Picture".  I did what Bob5820 said to do.  Pretty much the same whichever host you use.  I tried to put that link in my profile but didn't work.  I'll try again.  Thanks!

Brookenstein....are you saying if I put the link on my profile the pic will show up under my name?  I have tried to do that but nothing happens.  Also, everytime I go back into my profile the link is gone.  It keeps dropping it??

Yes, thats exactly what I was saying.  Are you saving your changes?  Then give it say 2 minutes before you look at an old post to see if the pic showed up.
