Welcome to our forum.
Are your referring to Salsa Sally, or whatever name was pasted on that video? Gotta agree with you there, if you were. Far more disgusting and offensive to me than a dead deer, even.
Well, animals need to get to dead before you can eat them. Kinda how the food chain works......................
author=anne link=1164405323/0#5 date=1164497732Oh lord- this again?? I have no problem with the food chain. But I am saddened and horrified by human nature when somehow people can disconnect themselves from reality enough to smile over a carcass.Galen, if you are out there, please come back. None of this is a personal criticism, just a good topic for discussion.
But there is a big difference between acknowledging the food chain and respecting where food comes from and having pictures of dead animals displayed as some form of bragging right. I'm not "grossed out" by dead or maimed animals. I see them every day. But I am saddened and horrified by human nature when somehow people can disconnect themselves from reality enough to smile over a carcass.
I think if someone wants to show off and be proud of the hard work they undertook to aquire there trophy, then they should be allowed to do so. school

Hunting for neccessity or to feed your family is a different thing altogether. I don't want to start anything up, I'm just stating my opinion

If your hunting for sport you shoot the biggest buck you can find, you only shoot one and you only do it once a year. A certain number of permits are issued to each area, and the herd is managed just the same as a heard of cattle. The difference is there is no fences.

I laugh when I hear people complain about introducing natural preditors into their old habitats. Wolves and Coyotes are being looked at and people don't want them around ... I guess if you introduce 5 pair of wolves and they start multiplying eventually the hunting of dear and such will stop because they will thin the herds themselves,
