tasman/overall advice
« on: August 01, 2005, 09:06:45 pm »
 :-/ ???
sorry if this sounds stupid, but  just starting out and looking for some help. I checked out a Tasman, and am now looking for any info on it.  Made by Leisure Bay? but they don't have a web site? Am I getting the shaft?  Price quoted (reduced for inventory) $5200.

is there anywhere to go (consumer reports) to check on products?

thanks

That's because they market themselves through factory owned stores called Recreational factory warehouse....

[link]www.recreationalfactorywarehouse.com[/link]

They had quite a bit of negative comment at one time through sites like eopinions.com and http://www.ripoffreport.com/

I used to be a Leisure Bay dealer many years ago and had nothing but problems however they are much better now.

IMO, I think that with the "Factory Direct" philosophy they have a tendency to fall behind a bit on customer service.

Your welcome! I would recommend that you look at other brands in comparison. Your looking in a low to mid price range and there are many good spas availiable in that range. Take a look at the Maquis Everyday Series or the D1 @home

You also might want to look at Coleman...it doesn't have any bells and whistles but, it's a really nice tub. Other dealers sundance, hs, artesian have lower priced lines. Good luck with your search...hope you get in hot water soon like the rest of us!
