68 degrees
« on: July 26, 2005, 08:55:55 pm »
It's here and it's a beauty. Electrician finished hooking up the Majesta a little after 6 and after playing with the controls for time and jets and pumps and lights and stereo (I recommend using Hotel California as the first song you put on, the sound quality of this little marine stereo is awesome) I closed the air controls and put the cover on it.
The temp is up from 62 to 68 degrees by 8:00, if it gets above 85 by 11:00 I may just have to try it out. Else it will be tomorrow morning. Lots of the neighbours were over, and it seems most of the women talked to my wife about what she expects, like therapy, relaxation, cost etc. But every one of the guys went right for the stereo and the floating remote. Me too.. it's a guy thing I guess. I suppose I better use the little locks to try and keep them out when we're sleeping tonight.
Did I tell ya my tail's waggin' so hard I think my butt's gonna fall off!  I'll attempt a full report of this first time user after I do the decking and get through a few weeks of water treatment and spa usage.    paul

Congrats Paul,
I just started using my tub on Friday and a day hasn't gone by when we haven't used it at least once - with or without the jets.
Water chemistry is holding fine but keeping my fingers crossed.

Thanks. At 11:00 it was 90 degrees so we showered off and my wife, son and I went in at 11:30... just had to. It was 94 then. I gotta say that while it wasn't hot, it was a really neat temperature. We rotated around the tub trying out the different seats, jets and air combinations. Only stayed in for a little over half an hour. It was 98 when we got out. I went back in this morning about 6:00 for half an hour and it was at the target 101. We'll see what temp we all like. I'm guessing 102 may be what we settle on. My wife and youngest girl intend to open a bottle of wine and get a soak in this afternoon.  Dang... I gotta go to work. But there's tonight after baseball...

Hey, who needs jets when you have a waggin tail!

Congrats! We are keeping our tub between 96-98 right now, once the surrounding air temp drops down we will go higher.

Congrats on your purchase..may you have lots of great clean bubbles and may your jets always hit where you want them too! My bottle of wine is still in the fridge, I think I've drank one glass out of it, just not sure about drinking on my pain meds ya know?
