Finally arrived
« on: July 11, 2005, 01:08:25 pm »
My Sundance Cameo was delivered bright and early this morning.  I filled it but my husband won't hook up the electric till he gets home from work tonight.  Took some quick photos and added them to my pbase account - http://www.pbase.com/soozin/deck&page=3

Now I can't wait to be able to go in - well, I guess I can sit in cold water (77 degrees!!!!).

More later.

That tub looks pretty nice! Maybe the nicest Sundance I've seen yet! ;D

You're almost there! I really like the umbrella as well - is it mounted into the concrete or is it just sitting underneath the tub itself?

Hope you enjoy your tub as much as well love ours.

Thanks vlady and Jc!!!   I just can't wait to get in it - I feel like a kid at Christmas!!!

The umbrella by the spa is under the spa - I already don't like it there, but I guess I'll have to wait till I change the water.  Don't know where else I could put it but I'll figure it out.

With a long spatula, you can flip those steaks from within the spa! ;D

Enjoy it for many years with your family!

What don't you like about the umbrella? We were considering one like that.  It does swing out of the way when closed right?

It's beautiful, Susan!

May you always have clean, bubbly, hot (as soon as hubby can get it hooked up) water!!!

I have an umbrella like that, too!  Hubby has yet to put it up (or let me do it) and he bought it for me for my birthday, in 2004!!  I guess what I'm trying to say, I sure hope yours is handier than mine!  Hubby that is!   ;)

Enjoy!

The umbrella is great - but you have to get it in just the right position in order to open and close the spa cover.  Maybe when I refill in November we'll move it to on top of the deck so that it won't interfere with the cover.  Or even in the front of the spa would work.  I'll have to see.  Maybe I'll just used to it where it is and deal with it!!!!

Thanks everyone!!!!!

My husband came home from work at 3:30 - unheard of!!!  He must be just as excited as I am about the new spa because he came home to connect the electric.  The temperature is up to 91 degrees and I put everything in that I needed to according to the spa dealer - 6 oz Alkalinity increaser and 22 oz calcium increaser.  Also put the Sun Purity cartridge and 2 tbls dichlor - that's what the dealer told me to put in - I thought it was a lot, but I'll go with what they say for the initial fill.  I have the temperature set for 98 degrees so I'm just waiting for it to get there before my husband and I go in for our first soak.

I'll let you know!!!!

Just spent over 2 hours soaking and fiddling with all the controls to see what works what.  My husband stayed in for an hour - he was loving it so much that he got in the lounger and said "wake me in the morning".  I'll be in it again in the AM - around 5:30 am!!!!  Love watching the sun come up from the spa!!!
