How my back is now....

[Backpains]

it's been a week gang and my back is still in the 7 range for pain, I have moments where it hurts so much I just want to cry I hit the tub and it subsides a little but not the miracle cure I was looking for.  I see my Doctor next week we will see what he's going to do then....besides sending me to a pain specialist soon I don't know what else they have planned.

Anyway I still am enjoying my Coleman hot tub it's soo nice to sit in and just soak!

I can  only use my tub when there is no muscle inflamation. If I feel the onset of an episode, I ice it down, which is not too much fun.

But after the inflamation goes down, which might be anywhere from one to three days, then I'm in the spa once or twice a day. And man does it ever help me to limber up and get functioning again.

well lets hope its not serious and it gos away.  Its funny, I use to have back pains all the time but since the tub they are all gone and I feel great.  I do realize everyones condition is different.

i have a patient who could not walk due to back pain. she was not a surgical candidate. she took oral demerol with no relief after she built up a tolerance . she had a pump placed with a catheter placed in proximity to the spinal cord where the problem was. she can now inject pain med at the specific site without the side effects of oral narcotics. she not only gets pain relief, she can now with the use of a cane get around. this has given her some quality of life back that was taken away. i don't know your situation, but something to keep in your mind.

This is something my doctors are looking into along with the other one that sends electric pulses to the nerves, I'm seeing a pain specialist next month so we will see what we are actually going to do
