You know, some nice NASCAR stickers on the cabinet side would really dress that up.

Yes. I am bored today.

It's the Potassium Peroxymonosulfate (32.8%).

Nascar stickers sounds good as long as they're the right numbers!!!!  24 and 48 would totally ruin the tub!!!  :)

Yea, but be careful. My neighbor put a #3 on the side of her tub. When she woke up the next morning the tub had slid into the side of the house.

The products I was given in our kit are made by GLB and are call the Rednezvous complete spa care system.  The activate "shock treats without Chlorine".  The active ingredient is Potassium Peroxymonosulfate (32.8%).
The "chlorinating concentrate" that I am using has Sodium Dichlor-s-Triazinetrione Dihydrate (99%) as the active ingredient.

After testing the water for the first time today the PH and alkalinity are off the scale on the high side (which was to be expected with our hard water).  The total FCI (free chlorine ppm) is 0.  Should I be concerned about this since I added 4 oz of chlorine less than 24 hours ago?

That is the same start up kit I was given. The Activate works well, its buffered not to cause problems with PH. But I used 2-4 ounces every other week, and just use a tablespoon or two of Dichlor after use.

Thanks for the info.  I probably won't be adding any stickers but I would like to add some areas for setting drinks etc., or a place to eat next to the tub.  Here is a picture of what I am looking for.  Does anyone know where I can get a table like this that will either attach to the spa, or sit next to it?  BTW, this is what our completed outdoor project should look like when complete (may add privacy screens on either side depending on how nosy the neighbors are).

You are bored today, Who will be the first spa manufacturer to include the Hanford device? Or is that what DAIT is all about?

Frankey, I'd wouldn't worry about the  spa side bar. I think you got a bigger problem with the yard.  From your pic it looks very dangerous to walk off the grass. I'd put up a fence or something.

Can yoru dealer point you to a distributor for the spa side bar?

This is what I have attached to my spa and it works great.  They also have stools to match.

It can be raised when needed and lowered out of the way when not in use.

Can you close the cover with the bar on the side of the tub?  or do you have to fold it out of the way each time?

I can close the cover with out a problem.  The bar is 4 feet long so there is enough room on each end to make sure your cover closes properly.  If you spa is shorter you may just need to position the bar closer to the end that does not have the bar for the cover lifter.  I was pretty much able to center the bar on the side of my spa and it still left enough room for the cover lifter.
