Water Temp Question
« on: June 28, 2005, 07:10:51 pm »
We live in a hot area & would love to keep the temp more in the 80 range, any drawbacks to turning off power to the heater system on a Hot Springs? Even set at 80, temp sits about 95 due to outside heat. We are trying the summer mode but thought of turning off the power to the heater as well. Any thoughts?

Thank You for input.

I'd try the summer timer before I turned it completely off. You are figuring the temp is staying that high due to the outside heat but in reality a great deal of the reason is that the circ pump is very efficient at transferring its own generated heat back into the water so you may find that the summer timer trick might help though it might be tough to get it all the way down to 80º.

We will try it first, heck if we get even close we would be happy.
