Amps question/ need help!

in short, older home 40+years, previous owners recently upgraded service to 100 amps for central air install. Is this sufficient power for my subsequent spa install?. or will it be trouble ??

You might be ok, but maybe pushing it.  
The only way to know for sure is to do a demand load calculation, which will give you an idea of where you're at.   The demand load calc is based on your finished square footage, ratings of certain appliances, etc....
You can find this at

Or you can get the opinion of whoever does your electrical bidding on your spa, if you hire a pro.

Air Condition - 12 amps
Oven/ stove - only when cooking and short term
Electric Drier?
Electric hot water heater?

If your drier and hot water heater are electric and running and you are heating your tub after a fresh fill at the same time, you should still be OK.  You will know after the install.  The 100 amp breaker will run 110 to 120 amps for 10 to 20 minutes easy for the short term peaks.
