I'm looking to buy my 1st tub

I was recommended Sundance (looking at the Cayman)
but the price (about 6000 total) is a little above my budget (which is about 4000)

Can anyone suggest other ones more in my range?

Hopefully with good warantees, etc.

Lets start with where you live and how many in your family. The Caymen is a 6 seater if I remember right.

A couple of models you could look at in that price range could possibly be the Dimension One Cove, or the Coleman 104.

Only thing i do want is a lounge seat

That interesting I was thinking of the Hydropool models

No my friend, they aren't! Hydro Spas are MUCH different than Hydropool hot tubs. I would stay away from anything sold at a big box store due to the lack of quality, support and service.

Hydropool hot tubs are a 25 year old Canadian company sold in over 40 countries worldwide. We make 2 lines of hot tubs (as well as swim spas) offering varying degrees of features and pricepoints. The Serenity line offers the quality of our main Hydropool line but isn't as feature rich and therefore is refected in the price.

I would have to agree with Steve. Hydropool is a great tub. I wet tested them also , it was between HP. and Master and I went with the Master for FIT only. Its a great product.                   Gary

I have to think that your price range may be a little low for a 5-6 seater from a reputable dealer. As previously mentioned Tubs from places like Costco, Walmart, and Home Depot aren't well thought of here.

Also prices quoted on the phone may not be the best you can do (I have no experience with that manufacturer's dealers and was speaking in general.

Many companies, I think Sundance included, have "economy lines" available.

You're very welcome but I'm confused. There's over 25 different spas available?

Ask for pricing on the Serenity 5000 and Special Edition spas. Both have loungers and should be close to what you're looking at spending.

try looking at a hot spot , the mallorca model. 5-6 person with a lounger, 36'' deep, full foam insulation and it has a good warranty(watkins) should be right around 4500.00-4900.00. +/-

Yeah, he's quoting the Elite Plus Edition. The Elite edition would be about $1000 less. The Special Edition would be between $4000 and $4500US.

For the money, it's certainly worth looking into and far surpasses the box store brands in the similar price catagory.

Just keep in mind, most spas have 5 or 6 seats, but they are not designed for 10 - 12 legs.  Many don't have the freeboard design to keep water in the spa after the 4th person settles in the spa.  Test soak if possible.  DOn't let someone SELL you a five to six person just because it has five or six seats.  Look at footwell for leg room, etc.
