Hi, I'm hoping to get some quick help here.

Tomorrow I will have the #331 bullfrog spa delivered

It is replacing the 1995 Blur Ridge spa that came with the house. It is indoors, and has it's own breaker. I have an electrical coming tomorrow night to hook up the new spa, but need to know what I could do to un-hook the old spa before the delivery tomorrow. Anything special I need to know? I emptied the spa, and shut off the breaker.

Are the Bullfrog folks taking the old spa away? If so, I'd ask them if they require the old spa to be fully disconected.

Yes, they are taking it away. In fact, gave me $500.00 "trade-in" ( Although I would have been happy for them just to take it for free. Works fine.) I did not specify with them about the disconnect, but I know that they do not connect new spas. I guess I could just wait until they get here tomorrow and play dumb?

If the breaker is *off* you can safely disconnect the wires yourself. Open up the Spa's access panel and follow to the wires and unscrew them from the spa connection terminals.

wrap the exposed wire ends from the breaker box individually with electrical tape.

keep the breaker turned off until your electrician comes by to reconnect you.

Just to be clear:

1) Breakers are off.

2) double check that breakers are off.

3) are you sure the breakers are off?

4) You're only disconecting the wires from the spa. You are not disconnecting any wires in the breaker box. Power is still live going into the Breaker box from your home's electrical panel.

5) after disconnecting the wires from the spa, wrap each wire individualy with electrical tape.

6) Do Not turn the breakers back on.

Put a "Don't turn on" note on the panel or breaker to insure nobody messes around in the panel and flips on the breaker.

wans't fishing for a thanks, just more curious if they had any problems with the removal, if you had anything to add about the electrical disconnect and of course, some impressions on your new tub once it's filled and heated.
