A little unclear what advice you are looking for. The Diplomat gives excellent hydrotherapy and purification. When I move into a house (I am a renter with a little Softub) that is the spa I will be installing. Long lounge for me (6'3") Short longe for her (5'2").

If you were looking for more specific advice, tell us wht you need to know.

What I would like, is some opinions on the D-1 Diplomat coming from owners or dealers or "connaisseurs" of this spa.

Jean,

As a dealer of other brand spas, specifically Sundance,

Marquis and Artesian, I can tell you this much; D-1

makes a real nice product.

They are one of the spas that I don't mind loosing a

deal to. Good quality product at a reasonable price. I

am not much for a double lounger though. One lounge

in any spa will do.

Good luck with it, nice spa... ;D

The Diplomat is a great spa.  The his and hers loungers are well laid out, and prevent floating for most people.  The water mgmt and filtration system is one of the best in the industry, not to mention D-1 is an industry pioneer in this aspect.  The ability to change and move the jets around and also the ability to adjust each jet at the jet face allows for an unlimited amount of massage combinations  As far as quality, D-1 is top notch.  The dealer I work for has been selling D-1 Spas for over 15 years.  We simply don't have major problems with the product, we've only had one spa tech during this time period as well b/c they simply don't break down.  I'd say that's a very good track record for the 4000 or so spas we've sold over that time period.

The best thing I can say is that once you've wet tested the Diplomat most others will pale in comparison and you will love the 2 loungers! I'm not even a lounger person and I love it!

My wife and I bought a D-1 Diplomat back in April (in snowy upstate NY), and we love it.  The two lounge feature met all our expectations, and the deep full message seat makes for a good alternative.  The only problem so far has been keeping the water chemically balanced, but we're getting better at it.

The diplomat is one of our best selling d-1's ;D ;D ;D.
two lounges (wouldn't own a spa without a lounge).

Test Soak.  Try every seat.  Think of needs you'll have in the future, not just today.  I would suggest any D-1 as long as you like more than one seat.   How are the other three seats?
