The days of cheap gas were over in my mind when the magical $2/gallon mark was passed by.
There is a gas station, not close to here to be useful to me, where you can buy gas in advance at a fixed cost. Some wise buyers are using gas now that they paid $1.29 per gallon for a couple years ago.
But you do have to take the risk that the seller doesn't go out of business owing you a few hundred gallons of gas. Not sure what'd happen then, plus the up front cost of purchasing a lot of gasoline.
Seems like the price of oil is driven more by speculation than reality, at least in the past few years.
