What's the Best Hot Tub

How big of a base should I put undermy hot tub?

It is 83x76.

Also any good suggestions for easy good bases?

Make sure that when you do your base, regardless of what it is, don't forget the steps. They also should be on a firm, solid base.
I would do 1 1/2 feet more in each dimension, that gives you 3/4 of a foot all around the perimeter so no grass or weeds grows up next to the spa cabinet. It also looks very clean when trimmed off that way.

We are going to be building ta deck around the tub, so I don't have to worry about the step or the grass.

I doing the same also. I definitely would build the base larger than the tub so that you have room for adjustments - you don't want any part of the tub off the base.

I'm getting a 92" x 92" tub and building a 8' x 8' deck for it to sit on it. Just a FYI as you build the deck think about access to the motors and electronics underneath. I learned that from the people on here as I was designing my main deck.
