Newbie looking at Barefoot Spa 88BL
« on: April 24, 2005, 10:48:55 pm »
I have found a lot of information on this forum and I thank everyone who has responded to it.

We are researching spas for our first purchase. The spa we like the best so far is a Barefoot 88BL made by Hawkeye. I have not seen hardly any info (good or bad) on Hawkeye or the Barefoot product line.

My questions are as follows:

1. Any advice on Hawkeye and/or Barefoot?
2. Is full foam better than the insulated cabinet (example Master Spas)?
3. The Barefoot has a wooden frame inside, any issues with that?
4. The dealer quoted me $7295 for this 7+ person spa that includes LED light, cover, steps and delivery. Is that a good price?

Appreciate any and all comments to this posting. Thanks.

I know of one happy owner of one of Hawkeye Gemini  model, that is the limit of my experience.

My and most wooden frames seem to hold up just fine. Full foam vs insulated cabinet can stir up long boring debates on this and other boards, but you will probably find both do an adequate job.  I couldn't find the model you mentioned on Hawkeye's website.
