Reward wet test
« on: April 10, 2005, 08:10:43 am »
Hi gang,
Went to the Marquis dealer yesterday and wet tested an '05 Reward.  This is going to be short and sweet. This tub is too deep for my wife  :'(.  She is 5'4 and couldn't sit in any of the seats but the cool down.  Too bad.  I really liked this tub. The lounger is great (I didn't float out), good massage in all seats,  powerful enough without that "stinging" sensation that I have experienced in other tubs.  The dealer said I could lower the water level in the tub for my wife.  This is not an option because I would probably have to keep it at the lowest point possible.  The last thing I want to do is constantly mess with the water level during a Pa. winter! Oh well, my search continues!

It's too bad that your wife couldn't enjoy the wet test as you did. The Reward is a nice spa by a great manufacturer. How about one of the booster seats for her? Better yet, a color coordinated snorkel... ;) Only kidding, maybe the new Epic will offer better seating for your situation. Good luck in your search.

I would recommend trying the new Epic as well if you liked the Reward the Adirondack chair is not as deep as the Reward lounge ....I am glad you noticed, something that not all people pick up on in a wet test is the 'non stinging" of the jets...Marquis strives for a "Hi Flow" lower pressure massage in their spas meaning, More water volume but not higher pressure jets ...the only way to get real therapy into your muscle tissue is to be able to sit in front of a jet for an extended period of time and let it work deeper into your muscle .....Good Luck on which ever tub is the best for the both of you.....

I just wanted to chime in.  My wife is 5'1" and we liked the Reward as well.

Due to the height issue we are now looking at the Silver Anniversary Reward.  Based on our wet test, the SA seems to have very similar seats but overall there was only one seat my wife felt was too deep.

Out local Marquis dealer will throw in the booster pad, so even that seat is usable!

And its a bit cheaper too.

Have you considered a taller wife?  Where in PA, if I didn't already ask.

Watch it, Mr. Moderator!   >:( :P ;) ;D ::)

She apparently has a couple of inches on me!  Unless you go by my sleep study measurement, they told me I was 5'1".  Of course, I'm counting that!!!   ;) ;D

This is a perfect example of why it is important to wet test!

I can't afford a taller wife!  ;)
I'm in western PA, about 60 miles north of Pittsburgh.
