Need advice on hot tub brands
« on: April 03, 2005, 01:07:30 am »
I'm a first time buyer looking at some hot tubs and have narrowed the choices down to:

Caldera Hawaiin - $6800

Sundance Cameo - $6900 ('04 model)

Dimante Mojave - $6400

All these prices include covers, lifters, start up kits, delivery and ozonator.  Are these good prices?

More important, I'd like some feedback from some of you experienced folks out there on the quality of these brands.  After comfort, reliability is my biggest concern.  I've wet tested them all and the feel and fit is fine.

Don't know about the other spas, but the price for the Cameo is extremely cheap.  If you don't put a deposit on it in the next fews days, don't expect it to be there and don't expect to pay that for a 2005 Cameo.

The Caldera and Sundance are going to be much higher quality spas compared to the Diamante.

Sundance hands down would be the more known and better brand of the 3 you list. There are others comparable to Sundance and I would suggest Hot Springs, Beachcomber, and Master Spas as others in that same class.  I own a Mster so I'm partial to them but the others are well made products as well.

You did not mention what you were looking for in a spa?

Did you want lounger/not?
Did you want spa for tons of folks or a more personal spa?
Did you want water features?
Lighting?
Price?

Of the ones that you mentioned though if you could get a price on the Cameo 04.....at least where I am from you are getting a HELLUVA deal!!!!! :)

My only question on that is what exactly are you getting with that....make sure that the cover, lifter, etc are all good quality and not something cheesy to bring down the overall cost of the deal but bottom line the $6900 is a great deal....if you like it put down a deposit!!!!

:)

I sold a 2004 Cameo with everything for $8,395.00 last week.  The Cameo would be your best spa and deal your considering at this point. Don't wait the 04's are getting bought up.

He coming in tomorrow to buy a Sundace Bahia.  His problems will now be solved.

If you can really get an '04 Cameo for $6900, run as quickly as you can and buy it before the retailer realize what he's done.......great tub for an unbelievable price.  8)
