Best cloudy/oily water product?

Hello all.  I've been doing good but new I would have a water problem eventually.  I put a scented product (specifically made for spas!) in my tub and the water turned cloudy (smelled great though).  I can't seem to get rid of it.  I've tried a oil/couldy water removal product per the directions for several days now but it has only helped a little.  Is there a certain product that anyone has had experience with that works well for this sort of thing?  I've used other brand scents with no problem; this one is just nasty.

A product that has worked well for us is "Sea Klear"...it is a clarifier but also has metal and stain control in it and works well with oils also...It is all organic and I think is truly unique compared to other clairfiers....I would get some if you can....It is made by Van-cent and my spelling might be off as I am at home...Perhaps someone else here has used it as well.....Its a great product...

I've never used the product Mendo is referring to but my suggestion would be this Barb:

1) Increase your filtration cycles
2) Shock
3) Add a product such as Mendo suggested that is a clarifier/sequestering agent
4) Purchase a scum ball or equivalent that will help absorb the oils on the surface of the water
5) Rinse your filters
6) Balance the water
7) Don't use that product any more or use it in much smaller quantities! Do you know what the make was?
8 ) Drain and refill if needed

Mendo is spot on, Sea-Klear is an excelent product, but if you are using a mineral purifier (nature 2, spa frog, etc..) i would shy away from it as clarifiers tend to bind up the minerals in the stick and turn it into a useless rock.  Also try what Steve said first as a lot of the time it is simply a matter of uping the filtration cycles/duration of them, and rinsing the filters a lil more often.

Thanks; no I don't remember what the name was, I threw it out so fast that I never looked back.  The one I used that worked well was spazazz; guess I won't deviate from it now....

If you get a chance do check out the Sea Klear....it is one of the truly unique products out there and is actually different....all organic and made from crab shells among other things....but the stuff works and better than the other clairfers....its worth a look.....

Nice to hear from you again. I use the product Super

Blue for spas. It is formulated for hot water. Have been

using it for about 20 years. It is a product made by

Robarb.

Remove your mineral and bromine products, add

a couple of ounces of Super Blue to the spa, turn the

jets on high, add an ounce of Dichlor and let it rip.

In a matter of a minute, all of the oils will come to a

head in the spa. Scoop them out using a skimmer net. It

will look like a soap factory for a bit.

Then use a foam buster, let the spa filter clean again.

Re-install the mineral and bromine cartridges. This

should work for you...

You know, I got two little bottles at an NSPI show or AQUA or something - but I never got around to trying it out!!

Maybe I'll give it a try.
