Coast spa filteration
« on: March 11, 2005, 08:53:13 pm »
Hi We are looking at a new Coast spa (Paradise sound waves 40 jet with 5hp pumps) and wonder if anyone has any info on the cyclonic filter system. A sales person from another brand says that type of filteration is not very good.  Also anyone with thoughts please give me your opinion on Coast products and filter system. The warranty seems very good. We like all the options on the Paradise sound waves,(stereo, lights, remote control, ozone, and slate exterior). We did a wet test today and felt good about it. Thanks Jim

I hate to burst your bubble on this topic, but I

personally have not heard many good things about this

manufacturer.

Is this your only option? Have you considered any other

brands. Just hate to see you land on the ONLY spa you

looked at and go with it. I understand you wet tested it.

Ask the dealer for referrals, talk to people that they

have sold Coast Spas to. ???

Then if you still feel comfortable, go for it.

Although I have heard plenty of negative regarding Coast, I have heard from unhappy cutomers of all brands.

Quite often it boils down to the dealer. Ihave heard some very happy Coast customers who have standup dealers.

What I think I have observed is that Coast does not screen there dealers as well as som other manufacturers.

Hottubber is bang on with the referral idea. Try some others too.

You're right! I'm the first one to say, it's all about the dealer, first. My bad... :-/

I agree with all about the dealer. I feel the dealer is VERY important part of this purchase. We have alot of confidence in the dealer we are working with. She has been in business for 15 years and sold Coast for 5 years. We have considered others and wet tested Sundance, Hot Springs, Jacuzzi, and Coast. The Coast is the best looking and fits us (with confortable seats and jets), better than the others.    Thanks for the help

The dealer I purchased my Cal Spa from 8 years ago is now selling Coast Spas. There's a bit of a link there as former Cal Spas employees and Exec.'s formed Coast in Canada as a result of a 'Non Compete" issue.
Same spa, different wrapper.
If the dealer is willing to honor your warranty and give you good service, that should be worth something as you will need them!
