Power Use

I was wondering, is it cheaper on electricity to turn off the spa at night time after I am finsihed using it, and then power it up a few hours before I want to use it, or just to leave it on all the time.  I live in a hot climate where the water will be in the mid-90s during the day without the heater, and mid-80s at night.

Ahhh, you're from my area! ;D

Electricity cost may still be a factor in your location and cooling the water too much and reheating it can be expensive if you are continually doing this more than 4 or 5 degrees.

I suggest lowering the temperature a few degrees during the day at max.

Then again, what the h*ll do I know about this? ??? ;D

I wouldn't power off the spa, you might not get enough filter action.  If you use the spa more than a couple times per week, you probably won't save enough to make the temperature thing worth it.
You could always try and see, though.  Depends a lot on your electric rates and usage pattern.
