To Drain or Not

Just discovered this site and it seems like a great place to get unbiased answers to my many questions!

I'm just starting to look around and already my head is spinning regarding prices , models and manufacturers. I guess I can rule out Calspa after reading several posts (too bad as it initially looked like the best deal I have seen yet!)

Two questions that I currently have are
1.  How often does one have to drain the tub?

2.  How necessary or useful are ozonators?

Sorry if I'm asking questions that have already been addressed but I haven't come across the answers yet.

1. At the end of the first month, and then about every three or four months after that.

2. Use the search function and see 'ozone.' There are some active threads going right now about it. It tends to lessen the amount of chlorine you have to add, but will not replace it completely.
