Booster Seats (Butt extenders)

Anyone have any advice on booster seats? The wife and the daughter say they need one. Are there different sizes, thicknesses, etc.?

Any brand better than others?

Do they need any special attention regarding maintenance?

Do you leave them in the tub all the time or do you take them out when they're not being used?

Yes they really make them, and they work well.

I have a special 'tummy extender," but that's another story.



You fill them with water and you can leave them in the spa. If you work all the air out of the thing, it stays on the bottom of the tub or on a seat. If you leave a little bit of air in it, it will stay near the top.

A little sand in the bag goes a long way to counter-act any air in the booster.

I have also seen foam/weighted boosters. I beleive Spa Essentials retails them, and I would be surprised if the Doc dosn't aswell.

There is also a foam type with suction cups that you can find at Bed, Bath, & Beyond or Linens & Things for about $10.  They work quite well too.

As others have said, they do work well.  One caveate:  There is a tendency to float out of them.  If anyone has any tips for that, beyond the weight belts, etc.,  please post.
