Hot Springs does it again

Saw this on a site called spadoctors.com under fun facts

An arthritic Bengal tiger at the Phoenix Zoo has a spa of its own to soak in, thanks to local dealer Hot Spring Spa of Prescott.  The model of the spa? A Bengal.  The brand? Tiger River.

Now that's what I call great advertising!  Boy, I'm sure the zoo keepers are glad they don't have one of the HS 5 filter tubs....if that cat sheds like mine.... :D

Well, this isn't the first time we had a Tiger soaking in a Tiger River.

The last one was San Diego zoo, I think - I don't really remember because it was many many years ago.

Lasted several months - if I recll correctly. The cat ate the pillows and had a hard time with it -  he ate a Tiger River baseball cap that somebody left lying around, I don't remember how well it helped or didn't help.

I got the impression that they were tyring it out to see if the cat would bother with it at all before putting in an more open tank of hot water. The final tank, if I am remembering right, ended up being a simple tank with warm water flowing into and out of it all day.

They had to remove the spa as they couldn't get the cat to pop in a couple teasthingys of chlorine after use.

BTW - I think it was actually the local dealer who did this the first time I saw it. Did the article you saw recently say if it was sponsored by the factory?

I have arthritis, and I can honestly say, my spa has made it possible for me to be off all my meds! That's one lucky tiger...and soon, one active tiger!

I would have never believed in a million years a spa would be able to make such a difference in the way I feel. But, it has. :)
