Please keep Steve in your thoughts and/or prayers....

His Mother passed away and he is trying to get things organized. I will be trying to call him next week and will be happy to pass on any thoughts...

Your presence will be missed while your away and we will be thinking of you. That’s one of the tougher times in a Mans life… :(

Please remember Steve, she remembers you all now!  She is in a much happier place.  It doesn't make it any easier for those of you who are left behind, but my prayers and thoughts are with you in this time of grief!

About two years after my mother passed away my youngest daughter was born.... Every day I swear I see the spirit of my mother in her and she talks about her grandma as if she knows her.

The circles that life goes in are sad, happy, challenging, painful and above all wonderful and fulfilling...

You will find her again in some face or some moment and it will give you a pleasant surprise to realize that she is still there looking over you and yours...

Steve sent me an email this AM that choked me up a bit over his appreciation towards our posts....

When my mother passed on I didn't cry until weeks later when someone reminded me of a quote from the movie Steel Magnolias- "I was there when that beautiful creature drifted into my life.. and I was there when she drifted out of it. It was the most precious moment of my life... "

I was there as she passed on it was wonderful to see her reaching for Angels with a look of joy on her face. For the record, I got into this business because of her ailments and her need for a spa. She absolutely loved setting in the spa.

Steve, reminisce my friend.... It brings the good times back to life!

Sorry to be so sappy here but we share so much on this forum that amid the heated discussions and brash opinions sharing a bit of our lives can’t be all bad!

Well...It's been a tough week. One of the toughest in my life to be honest. Though Mom had the late stages of Alzheimer’s, her death wasn't related to it. She suffered a major heart attack last Wednesday and was stabilizing as of Saturday. Sunday morning she died suddenly. Though they live in Vancouver, many of their friends and and our family are here and so it was decided to have the service here also. As I am one of the only immediate family here, I spent a great deal of time organizing the memorial.

I want to thank all of you for your support and kindness in your responses. All of your expressions meant a great deal to me and to say I appreciate it is a considerable understatement. I want to thank all of you who private messaged or e-mailed me personally as well.

I want to mention my sincere appreciation of your support Stuart. Though we have only met once, this man wrote me one of the most profound and insightful messages in this thread and I was so overwhelmed by his words, I included them in my eulogy to my Mother for which I was very grateful. A thank you just doesn’t seem enough as it touched my heart deeply. I thank you for letting me do that.

I won’t take up any more space in this “non spa related post” but I did want to acknowledge everyone and thank you all.
