Three  Big  Ten teams in the men's elite eight. Not bad for the conference the so-called experts loved to trash all season!

The conference got knocked but in a different way. They have 2 very good teams in MSU and ILL, a Wisconsin team that I still think is less than very good but is definitely good, an Iowa team that was average at best, an Indiana team that is below average and 6 crappy teams. Great strength at the top and nothing much else. The Big East and ACC had far superior strength with teams 4-7, but in the end it doesn't matter how many teams make the tourney but how many go far and who wins it. The Big 10 takes the cake so far though I still win big $$ in Lousiville wins it all. Go Cards!!!!!

Ohio State won 20 games Minnesota won 21 and made the tourney. not exactly "crappy" Also not a lot of people calling MSU a good team till they beat Duke & Kentucky. Illini really the only team the critics liked all year. But we will see what we will see this weekend   Spartans Rule!! ;D

True, those teams were OK but compared to a league like the Big East which had a Top 3 of BC, UConn and Syr but then had 4-5-6 teams like Pitt, Villinova & WV (a very big step up from OSU, IU and UMinn IMO) the Big 10 seemed very mediocre after the big three. In the end the middle and bottom weren't great but that didn't matter as the big 3 ended up being the Very Big 3.

BTW, I thought MSU was overrated until I saw them vs Duke and Ky. They are a very disciplined team and have much more talent than I gave them credit for outside davis. I think they've got a good chance against a UNC team that seems to thrive too mcuh on pure athleticism (which they have). MSU can win with killer defense, few turnovers and good rebounding.

You are right about  the Big Ten, compared to the ACC & the Big East both had more quality throughout MSU had done nothing to earn more respect but after watching them play every game the last four years I knew they had the talent but not the heart If they could somehow beat UNC  they will have accomplished something, to beat Duke, Kentucky, and UNC Whew!! I can hardly wait ,but I am not very confident. :-/

That's because schools in Columbus, Ohio are have maps that show Michigan as part of Canada.
