Hot Springs vs Caldera

Looking at the H.S. Envoy vs the Niagara by Caldera.
Price difference is about $1000 up charge for Caldera.
Is it worth the money?
Buying Envoy for 7200...04model. Is this about the going rate or should I try to deal harder?
New to hot tubing and just want the best for my money.
These two brands are the only ones sold around here.

I cannot speak for the Caldera.

We have an Envoy and it is a fantastic product. A friend of ours has just bought a D1 and although it has lots of 'bells and whistles', it is plain to see the quality of the tub is not up to the standard of a HS product.

They are both Watkins products!

You should be fine with either!  Have you wet tested the models?  That could be your deciding factor, which one fits you and your family the best?

My understanding is the the Caldera is a Watkins product. I was just comparing to a D1 which is not a Watkins product. Well that is my understanding !!

7200 sounds like a GREAT deal on the Envoy.  I was quoted a price of 7995 in VA.

Caldera is a fine tub, but if you can get the envoy for 1000$ less, I'd personally go for that.  The Niagra is a great spa, what exactly is included in the prices you were quoted????  That will tell which is the greater value.  But just from what you've told us, that's a steal of a price on the envoy.

The Envoy has a lounge seat; the Niagara does not. I would think that should be a major factor in the decision.

After Wet-Testing both Caldera and HotSprings Spas as well as many others I purchased a Caldera Niagra and although it has been less then a week now since it has been up and running I am 110% satisfied with my purchase.

Wet-Test them both and  you will make the best decision for yourself.  If you like a lounge seat try out the Caldera Geneva model also the performance of the Caldera Spas is Phenominal in my opinion.

We wet tested both - our dealer sold all three watkins products - Hotsprings - Caldera - Tiger River.

All are quality spas - so a wet test is a must.
We went with the Caldera Geneva based on the foot bump on the floor of the caldera and the lounger.

Bottom line - cant go wrong with either.

Wow - you guys are great!! I couldn't add much to the posts above.

One thing that hasn't been mentioned: the jet variety on the HotSpring is pretty amazing. The Envoy has two mega pumps, and a Moto Massage jet. Also, no-bypass filtration tends to do in ten minutes what other systems take an hour or more to do.

Wet test sounds like a must !

There is not $0.10 worth of difference in these two great products.   I bought a Caldera Geneva but would easily have gone the other way for $1000!  What are you waiting for?  Buy the Envoy already.

Both are premium spas but since there is a price difference I have to wonder if you're comparing apples to apples, size and feature wise? If they are (or are arguably close) then I'm with Bill, save the $$ and go with the Envoy.
