I can't find any reviews, good or bad. This is the company name in Canada; they have a different name in the U.S., possibly Tubco or Canadian Spa Company.

I think this is the company he's referring to.

http://www.canadianspacompany.com

They look like a hundred other intermediate spa companies out there trying to get some market share!

I never heard of these people before, but I liked some of the lay outs.  But tell me, how do you call this an 8 person spa?  3 sit in the footwell?

Hi - The web site is www.canspa.com.  I looked at them in Ontario.  I don't own one but friends of mine do.

They have had no problems to date (about 2 years now) and like the tub.

I found it fairly comfortable but a bit small (at least for me).

Other than that - isn't CanSpa Chuck Hewitt's baby?

Well I don't know? But, from the looks of it they could be....

For those of us consumers one impression people get of this industry is that you never pay the asking price. Mine has always been why do manufacturers exagerate on the seating capacity?  I remember when we were shopping the first thing I told each dealer was I wanted a tub to seat 4 comfortably and if that meant a 6 person spa so be it.

I see it as similar to buying a tent.  I could never figure out how they arrived at their capacity claims.
Then I found out that the first two people were counted as adults, and the remainder children.
So an 8 man tent was sized to sleep 2 adults and 6 kids.
Not as sure how the spa industry does it.  In our case, the Optima is considered a 7 to 8 person spa.  And you can actually seat 8 adults, one in each corner, and one between each corner.  The mid seats don't have much in the way of jets, but at least you can sit and soak.

Bill;

Automotive industry does this too! Dodge says my Caravan will seat 8! 8 what? Maybe I could drive 1 adult and 6 kids or 7 kids. There is no hope in hell I am getting 8 adults in it, especially if they are "super size" like you or I!

I drive a Ford Ranger Super (right) cab.
The truck is rated for 5.  The jumper seats in the back are insufficient for anyone other than small children.
I had 3 adults in the front once, and it wasn't fun.
