Grandee Pics
« on: December 03, 2004, 01:57:54 pm »
Hi Everyone,

I thought I would try putting a couple of pics on here of our Grandee.  I still need to do some landscaping around it, but will wait until Spring to do that... :-)
I'm trying to follow Drewski's instructions using ImageShack, so let's see if it works... :-)  I hope the pics are too small, too big or too big in size!  If so, I apologize in advance.... :-)

Nice. especially the concrete work.  Those plants are great for covering up the electric!

The first time I did stamped concrete the mix was way too dry and it was 90 degrees.  It had to be all ripped out and done over.  I'm glad it wasn't mine, I was just loaning my back to the effort

It's a towell holder/drink caddy.  It's pretty cool.  I saw it in a pamphlet at our dealers store and asked about it.  He said he sells several of them and said he would order one for me.  It's from a company called A and B Accessories....their website is www.aandbaccessories.com

Well, we didn't do that ourselves...we paid someone.  Had the whole back patio done and also the front of the house (walkway and across front of driveway, which was done in a brick look).  It's not cheap, but in the long wrong, I think it was totally worth it and the upkeep is alot easier than putting in a deck, which was our initial idea.

BTW - nice storage shed!! In California that would sell for $200K and rent for $1500 per month -  more if it had a toilet and electricity.

I had a neighbor who had a stamped driveway put in. Nothing huge, just a typical drive. But the crevices held a bit of dirt - as they will of course.

He spent hours out there with the hose, then we had a water shortage. So he switched to sweeping - then he bought a blower, which he only used if we were sleeping.

Finally he had a tile guy come out and grout all the crevices! It cost him a bundle, but I have to admit it made a nice driveway look even better, and we got to sleep better.

Now - can anyone tell us why a beautiful stamped walk or patio will still crack right across the surface and not in one of the stinkin' grooves???
