After letting my filter soak in cleaner and rinsing it off I still get soap coming off it after I reinstall it.  I have a Sundance Cameo.  I think it is coming from the inside of the filter.  How do you get the inside rinsed off good?

After soaking over night I put ours in the dishwasher on rinse cycle and they come out nice and clean.
It's a quick and easy way to clean the filters ::)

Wife's permission required for dishwasher use. ;D

You must rinse them very well or you will get soap in the spa water.  I use a hose with spray nozzle and work up and down the pleats until I don't see any soap.  I had the soap issue once and learned not to skimp on the rinsing.  No problem since.

I heard something about a new filter Sundance is introducing that is disposable to replace the pleated filter.  Never have to clean the filter again.  Supposed to last 3-4 months, be very affordable and can retrofit to previous year spas.

Interesting tidbit of info, Tony.
If the price is right, I'd be interested.
Hopefully they get this one to market faster than the quieter diverter valves they are supposed to be developing.

From what I understand (though I could be wrong), the 2005 models will have them.  We shall see.

Cool.

Wonder if they'd retrofit earlier models?  We have a 2003 Optima.

Filters last for years if cared for so I'll stick with that method as I can't buy into the material waste and extra money to use a disposable filter. Man, we sure do live in a disposable society!

I have found that soaking in clean water in the utilty sink a few times over several days is very effective.

Isn't the utility sink a little small for you to soak in?  ;)

Where do you soak the filter? ;D
