Getting Colder

This question is more suited to those that live in the colder climates.

Is there a time when you say its TOO COLD out.  This is our fist winter with our tub and I am so looking forward to soaking with the snow falling.  I am just curious what's the coldest you have been out in your tub?

The cold has never been an issue.  Wind driven snow or rain is the worst.  Light snow is great.

Here in MA, it only gets so cold.  Other areas get real cold.  For me, if it got too far below zero, I might skip the soak that day.

As Tony says, wind plays a huge factor.  We had wonderful soaks at 104 degrees in the spa when it was 0F outside and clear starry skies with no wind.   Other nights its been 25 degrees F with a 20mph steady wind and its too cold.  The worst those is 33 degrees F with rain and wind.

0F is the coldest is has been since we got our tub in early '03.   at 40-50F we usually keep teh tub at 102, and can't stay in more than 15 minutes at 104, but at 0 we could stay in 104 for quite a while.

Last winter we tried a 0 degree soak.  I was fine, but Mrs. Brewman got frostbit on her cheeks (no, not those cheeks, the ones on her face), and had to call it quits after 15 minutes.  But I'd try it again on a still night.

...as a frost-bitten Canadian boy we are looking forward to using our tub in temps of 20 - 30 below celcius -- for all you American comrades I believe thats somewhere between 0  and -10 F....

-15 c, with no wind is about our limit.  
Tried around -20 c and that's a bit to chilly, parts of bathing turns to ice in... a minute or two, after ya get out to close the cover.
