Water change for Thanksgiving

Wow.....brand new water today for Thanksgiving.....now that's something for which I am thankful as well.  Man, there's nothing like it.......and Chas is absolutely correct......the best chem you can put in your tub is new water.......aaaaahhhhh.........

Isn't it strange that you seem to forget how nice the fresh new water is?

I thought that on every water change.  I am going to remember what that feels like, but there is no substitute for fresh water!!!

I am getting ready to do my first water change this weekend as well.  I hope the waxing doesn't take too long :-/   Do you have to rinse the was dust out of the spa and drain that water?  

First time so I'm really not sure what to expect.

As beautiful as your tub is and as fastidious as I guess you are about your water chemistry, I doubt waxing is necessary.  I drain, wipe down the waterline with one of the Tub Rub pads I got from Doc's site, rinse a little, change out the filters, apply 303 to the headrests, suck out puddled water with the shopvac, refill and voila.....heater is cranking and soon I'm soaking.  I just haven't seen the need to wax or do anything to the surface of the tub besides a little wipedown above the water line.

i also woudn't bother waxing, unless you are having a particular problem with a heavy waterline - and then I would just wax that portion of the tub.

Had a Extra set of Filters and going to use them,,,Winter can be cold and don't want nothing to go wrong till after march.Thats why i had a extra set and cleaned the old ones for sometime next year....Jt

Made our first water change Saturday after Thanksgiving.  It is amazing how we forget what the water is supposed to be like.  My wife has been telling friends that with the jets on, you can't see anything while we are in the nude, so just come on back.  Ooops!  Can't say that now.  Now she has to tell them not to come into the backyard unannounced.

Great observation. This is a good clue to when water needs to be changed and people who are doing a good job of maintaining their water won't notice other things like smell and cloudy water.

Well it poured like mad on Sunday, the day I was supposed to do my water change.  So I am hoping that I can do it next Saturday.  It is unseasonally warm now and I am hoping that I can get to it before it starts really getting cold out.
