soft soak system?

I have had my tub for 8 months now, and have been using the soft soak system of shock, etc.  Anyone else have experience with this or other non-chlorine systems? Decided against an ozinator. Thanks

I have experience with 2 non chlorine chemical regimens.
First was Baqua Spa, which gave us coughing problems, and it was relatively expensive.
Now we are using Brilliance, which is a brand of bromine, made by the same company who makes Baqua.
This particular bromine does not have any chlorine, nor does their shock.   So far so good, but it's only been a month or so.
We also have no ozone.
