Control panel replacement

Last year my control panel fried and I recently bought a replacement panel (Balboa 54640 Circuit Board). Almost everything is exactly the same with the exception of 1 or 2 wires and the switchbank.
Should I match it exactly the same as the last one? Wondering if there is a “standard” or “default” that then has the be slightly modified based on the current setup.
