What does that word mean anyway? I don't have a dictionary handy and when I did a web search, all I got was references to a bunch of hot tub forum boards  ;D

He has been in the BS section since I posted this, but I guess he wants to leave us guessing.

apologies for the delay...

HTM's definition is by all means acceptable, it appears as though Steve's has some truth to it athough saz is the one on the right track

You won't find it in a dictionary (none that I know of... but who knows about future editions). It is a created translation of a Portuguese regional slang word, empolgação. I was given it as a nickname when I lived in the Pantanal Jungle. There is no existing English translation and no "offficial" Portuguese meaning and hence the creation of the English version empolgation as well as empolgator.

It's challenging to express its meaning in English but roughly it means: enchantment of life; full of life; basically an expresssion of positive life experience with a desire to improve it and share it with others... oftentimes expressed as a philosphy.

I often use it in conjunction as a sign off...

Peace and Empolgation
