Caldera Cover lifts
« on: October 09, 2004, 10:59:57 am »
I'm looking for a hydralic cover lifter that puts the cover on the ground behind the spa.

I currently have an Ideal lift which puts the cover straight up in the air.
My wife doesn't like the cover blocking the view.

I've looked at the CoverMate series, but didn't see anything.

Does anyone know anything about the Caldera Prolift or PivotPro ? Cost? Where to buy?

My Caldera dealer want $400-$600 for the lift, because he doesn't want to deal with me.

$400-$600 for a cover lifter!  :o

I must need to raise the price on those cover lifters!  I sell Caldera Pivot Pro cover lifters for $250 installed.  But I am in SE Coastal NC, cost of living may be a bit less here than where you are.

Good luck,

I was under the impression that all the hydralic lifters kept the covers up high because of the way they pivot.  The only way to get it down on the ground behind the spa would be to have it 'swing' there in some way.  Not sure how you would do that with the help of hydralics.  I'd be interested in seeing a cover that can do this.  I like the idea of the hydralic lifter (we have one) but I also like the idea of having the cover lower to the ground.  I didn't think you could do both...

Check out the Cover Cady.
If you can't sell it on eBay, it may not even qualify as landfill.
