Can anyone give me an idea on how long it will take to heat a 450 gallon hot tub with hose water that is about 44 degrees.

yikes, 44 degree hose water. Man that's cold!
My 450 gallon spa takes about 3 and half hours to get from 75 degrees to 100. Obviously 44 degrees will take much longer. Probably 7 to 8 hours I would imagine.

Lucy, You must be north.
Look for it to heat at approximatley 7-8 degrees per hour. That's about 8 hours for you.
