Copper Hotpot water gets cloudy
« on: December 24, 2022, 08:08:05 am »
Hello i'm new to this Forum

My Name is Tobi, living in Switzerland.
Before some weeks i bought a hotpot made out an old Copper-Pot from a Cheesery.
Heating with an inside stove made our from steel.

Now my question is:
After 2 days of use, the Water is getting Cloudy and is not clear anymore.
I think it is not because of algea because the copper should be antibacterial maybe its more like a Chemically Process of degrading the Steel?!?
Do you have a think what i can do to have clear water for a longer time?

Thanks and Merry Christmas from Switzerland

The cloudiness is likely from a build up of organic contaminates. Those are all the things you bring into the spa with you. Body oils, shampoo, underarm deodorant, detergents from swim trunks etc. What are you using for a sanitizer? Does the copper pot have jets and filtration? Perhaps if you can share a few photos to give us a better idea of what you have would help with recommendations.
