My breaker has been tripping a few times a week lately. I disconnected the ozonator and after three days it tripped again. So I guess its not the ozonator, whats my next step??

The Ozonator has nothing to do with the breaker tripping.

You didn't specify: is this a GFI breaker? If so: I would test the heater element next.

Yes its the GFCI breaker. I was told to disconnect the ozonator because there could be water in the line or a problem with the check valve causing the breaker to trip.

But even after disconnecting the ozonator it still tripped.

I would test the heater element next.

Actually, I think I blew it. I often forget about blowers - since our spas don't have them.

I think he should check the blower next: it may be much easier as it's most likely on a power cord with a plug.

Unplug the blower - just as you did with the ozone generator and see if it stops tripping.

OK I'll do the blower first. Thats easier to do than the heater element anyway!

Is it the ozonater.. I mean the breaker, no the blower, no maybe the GFCI?

Chas just listen to Chas (not you the other one) he knows what he's talking about, probably the blower getting mositure.

GFCI's do go bad themselves.

At least as far as the regular plug type, I have had to replace them several times in various houses over the years.

My question would be, "Gee, how come it works for days and then trips and then works for days? Seems to me that if there was a problem it would be constant and cause a trip all the time."

But what do I know.
